The other day I was following Mary down the carpeted stairs in the house on Cooper Road. Since we were still dressed in our work clothes, she had a nice suit on. When she was about three stairs ahead of me my brain got the best of me.
I flashed on the many times Kirsten, Kris, and Laura slid down the stairs at my mom and dad’s home on McKenna Ave. in Portland, Oregon. Boy that looked like fun.
So, at the top of the stairs, I laid down on my stomach and pushed myself over the edge.
“Hey Mary!” I yelled.
She stopped and turned in amazement seeing me coming head first at her.
“What are you doing?!?”
Just then my head went between her feet and she instantly laid down and rode on my back down to the landing.
There we were crumpled up with her on my back laughing hysterically.
The kids were right. It was fun!
