This morning I decided to undertake a monumental task I had been putting off for months. I screwed up my courage and tackled cleaning up the mess on my desk. After bracing myself with a second cup of coffee, I waded into it.

As I peeled back the layers, I found among other things some reminder notes I buried (did I ever read and act on them?), a ginger snap cookie, two pens, nail clippers, of course things I felt I needed to file for some unknown reason, and then I loaded the waste basket. 

In the end I was able to see the entire expanse of the desk surface, so I took a picture to memorialize the event since I may not get around to doing this again for several more months.

If I have the strength later I may attack what is covering my drawing board. But first I need a break with another cup of coffee and that cookie.
