When and why did constant, bald-face lying by business leaders and politicians become so common it is now acceptable and non-consequential to millions of people?

When did these lies that hamper relief efforts in disaster areas and put people’s lives in danger become protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution?

Why have millions of people become so ignorant and skeptical of preventative medicine and known science?

Why has cult worship suddenly become mainstream in United States politics?

Why do so many United States citizens believe in made up facts and fictional history?

Why have differing religious beliefs always gotten in the way of community and peaceful living? Or have religious differences been used as a means of exerting power and control over others?

Why can’t political leaders be sued or criminally charged for their use of rhetoric that causes harm, fear, or physical damage and financial costs to individuals or communities?

Why do so many supposed learned judges and courts interpret laws in such different ways? Is it to intentionally give advantage to one side over the other?
