Real Versus Imagined
Years ago someone told it is difficult to tell the difference between what is imagined and what is real.
Thinking about that after dinner I sat down, closed my eyes, relaxed and visualized sliced ripe red strawberries smothering my vanilla ice cream.
After a couple of minutes I opened my eyes and…shit, no strawberries!

We Are Not All Alike
We are all a product of our generation and growing up environment.
I am realizing this more every day when I observe people of different ages, watch how they communicate, see movies and television shows they watch, and listen to their music.
There is no right or wrong, but we all have our preferences and the further apart ages get, it seems the less we have in common. Sometimes the differences seem to get in the way of understanding.
This is magnified across race and geography.

Some Conclusions
Observing what seems to be happening in the US, and I guess around the world, these days, I have come to some conclusions:
Most people believe in freedom of speech as long as it is “their” speech.
Most people believe in freedom of religion as long as it is “their” religion.
Political leaders believe in government as long as it is “their” idea of government.
Most people say they believe in racial and economic equality as long as it fits “their” definition of equality.
I suppose that is the way humans have always believed, so why would we think it will ever be any different.
I guess we can always try to make changes for the better, but it seems change is slow and not always permanent.

The Best Solution
Sometimes the best solution is a glass of red wine and a warm nap.

Mt. Spokane Webcams
I was hoping to go skiing this morning (blogger’s note: 3-19-2021) with Ron Vierra, but after looking at the mountain web cams I had to change my mind.
Remembering how great it was skiing with Kris six days ago I decided if that was the last day I ever ski I can be happy with that.
