During this crazy time of Covid-19 I have discovered, like many others, it is reassuring to have a pet. Pets offer a diversion to discouraging daily events. Plus they offer unconditional love (as long as you pay a little attention and feed them) and many can be a lot of fun.

To those ends I have adopted several pets. My clothes washer, Walter. My dryer, Dorothy. My dust bunny, Bunny. Spidy the spider (unfortunately he took a hike). Leafy the Jade plant. And now my latest, Ginger the plant. I am beginning to like her a lot as she is spicy and doesn’t make any demands beside a little water once in a while. I guess we will see where this latest relationship will go.

I suppose I will have to stop adopting soon because I don’t want those I already have getting any more jealous of each other than they already are.
